Gascoyne in May is annual feast of festival held on consecutive weekends in May. It celebrates Grassroots Community events and the regions emergence into one rich with world class festival culture. Signature festival performances are located in a series of extraordinary locations and include 'water dance' by regional indigenous dance troupe Pundara, Aerial and Fire Performance by Gascoyne Circus, Cutural Tours, the best of West Australian music, fishing, camping and adventures!
The settings include two world heritage marine parks within the Coral Coast and for the more adventurous head inland to the Upper Gascoyne and visit Mt. Augustus (Burringurarah) the biggest rock in the world (twice the size of Uluru). The average temperature is 28 degrees, the sky is vast, and time slows down.
