Crossroads- A journey through the upper Gascoyne
Author Bonnie Milne For over a hundred years the settlers and workers of the Upper Gascoyne have known many changes; they have faced more than one challenge and stood at more than one crossroad.
The Book pays tribute to all the pioneers of the district, the men and women with the fortitude stamina and courage to endure the hardship associated with opening up this particular part of Western Australia. The first European setlers, sheepman, were in the upper Gascoyne by the late 1870s. They camped with their stock along the major waterways and took leases of surrounding land. As they settled and established families, supporting pastoral industries followed.
