Junction Race Club

The Junction races is one of the oldest bush race meetings in Western Australia. Originally called " The Lyons and Minilya Amateur racing club" JRC was established in 1907. The first race meeting was held on the Box Gully Flats just out side of Gascoyne Junction township. Most race horses were from local stations and were walked for several days to the Junction to race. From  1908-1930 the races were not held every year as interest in the races waned due to the great depression and drought.

We hope you have a very memorable weekend at a truely unique bush race meeting. See you track side!

ACCOMMODATION/ CAMPING - All accommodation on site is camping. Bring your tent, swag, caravan or camper and stay for the weekend. Camp sites are not designated.  There are several clean and tidy ablution blocks provided for campers. Small camp fires are permitted. There are several permanent campsites that have been built and used by the same station owners for many years. If you do setup in one of these permanent campsites you will be asked to move to another site!

If you don't feel like camping, give the Junction Pub & Tourist Park a call on (08) 9943 0868 or visit their website
