Carnarvon Windfest is a free community event consisting of a festival, a live concert on the Saturday night, Wind and Kite Surf racing as the centre piece attraction. The event is organised by the Carnarvon Windfest Association. 


As a spectator of the Carnarvon Windfest, you can access the adrenaline sport on Carnarvon's windsurfing and kitesurfing hot spot of Pelican Point. 

Here is what you can enjoy over the weekend: 

Saturday 18 January 

11am - 6pm, Pelican Point 

Come down to Pelican Point from 11am to find the best spot at Pelican Point to view first event for the Windfest. The Slalom racing of Windsurfing and Kiteboarding kicks off from 12 noon through 6pm. 

Bring your beach towel, umbrella and bathers to enjoy some family family. Enjoy a wide range of food and drinks. 

6.30pm - 11.30pm, Yacht Club

Everyone is welcome to come down to the Carnarvon Yacht Club from 6.30pm, with presentations kicking off at 7pm followed by live music by local band Black Jacks. BBQ dinner and bar is open from 6.30pm. More information coming soon. 


12noon - 6pm, Pelican Point 

Another exciting day of adrenaline kitesurfing and windsurfing at Pelican Point from 12 noon. The Free Style is where you will experience adrenaline pumping airtime. This is where the wow-factor of this exciting sport comes into play. Watch competitions rotate 360 degrees in the air, mega-loop where competitor leap 10 metres into the air. 

From 3pm, watch competitors get hectic, this speed event will see competitors racing along Pelican Point beach at insane speeds, the first passed the post wins.
