Live on Stage Australia in association with Mark Stewart Productions (UK) and National Geographic Channel Australia Presents: GENE CERNAN – The Last Man on the Moon. Live on stage in Australia with Premier Screening of the multi-award winning film -‘The Last Man on the Moon’ plus an, In Conversation’ with Captain Gene Cernan and Audience Q&A, Hosted by Dr. Lisa Harvey Smith.

When Apollo astronaut Eugene Cernan stepped off the moon in 1972 he left his footprints and his daughter’s initials in the lunar dust. Only now, forty years later, he is ready to share his epic but deeply personal story.

Cernan’s burning ambition carried him to the spectacular and hazardous environment of space and to the moon. But there was a heavy price to pay for the fame and privilege that followed. As his wife famously remarked, ‘If you think going to the moon is hard, try staying at home.’

‘The Last Man on the Moon’ film combines rare archive material, compelling visual effectsand unprecedented access to present an iconic historical character on the big screen for the first time in Australia live on stage with an ‘In Conversation’ and Audience Q&A with Gene Cernan -­ Hosted by Dr. Lisa Harvey-­Smith.

Gene Cernan will also open the phase 3 of the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum following by the screening The Last Man on the Moon on the evening of Saturday 28 may2016.

Meet and Greet guests will need to be at the Carnarvon Civic Centre by 6.00pm, you will then receive your Meet and Greet Showbags and the opportunity to meet Gene Cernan, you will then be ushered into your reserved seat, front row of the Camel Lane Theatre.

The film ‘The Last Man on the Moon’ event will commence at 7.30pm, Part 1 of the film is 45mins, followed by 20min interval and Part 2 of the film will commence straight after the interval, Part 2 is 46mins.
