MECHANICAL SERVICING & REPAIRS

Portside is a registered repairer Lic No.MRB7040 providing repairs and services to a range of heavy duty vehicles and plant equipment at the Carnarvon workshop. As an authorised repairer for Daimler, Penske and Purcher International, our workshop and grounds are set out to accommodate large vehicles with easy accessibility. As well as repairing and servicing vehicles, our mechanics regularly repair and service:

Caravans, Motorhomes, Trailers, Marine Engines, Horticultural Machinery, Watercarts, Bobcats, Generators, Compressors

If your mechanical needs are coupled with an electrical issue, we can organise for an auto-electrician to undertake repairs while your vehicle is in our workshop.

WELDING & FABRICATION

We offer a broad range of welding and fabrication services across sectors including residential, building and construction, transport, maritime and mining. Whether at our workshop or on site, our capabilities include ARC welding, MIG Welding, TIG welding, Silver Brazing, working with galvanised and mild steel, aluminium, stainless and cast steel. We often repair or fabricate parts for marine vessels, boats, trailers, caravans, trucks and building site requirements. We can quote and work from technical specifications, your drawings, or assist you to design solutions to your fabrication needs.

AFTER HOURS TRUCK BREAKDOWN SERVICE

At Portside, we understand that industry has to keep going therefore we offer an after hours breakdown service for the transport sector. As a preferred provider to several leading transport companies, you can be sure we will work quickly to diagnose problems to get you back on the road as soon as possible. FUEL TANK DRAINING

If you have put the wrong type of fuel in your vehicle call us immediately on 9941 1624 or, if after hours or on weekends call 0408 056 100. We are equipped to visit vehicles at local petrol stations, drain the fuel and dispose of it if you don’t want to keep it. Until the fuel is drained, do not attempt to start or move your vehicle as you risk causing damage that can be costly to rectify.

STEEL SUPPLIES, CUTTING & BENDING

If you require metal, we stock a large range of zinc, galvanised, mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium: Sheeting, Plate, Checker Plate, SHS, RHS, Mesh, Angle, Channel, Pipe (seamed & seamless), Round bar, Flat bar
