The Shire of Carnarvon are pleased to announce that we have received funding through the Active Regional Communities Grant from the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport (CITS) to deliver a series of capacity-building workshops for local sporting clubs.
As part of this initiative, clubs will have access to two valuable workshops delivered by Wicked Strategies on the 5 and 6 of August:
- Grant Writing Essentials Workshop - 5 August 2026
Learn practical skills to identify funding opportunities and prepare stronger grant applications.
- Committee Governance Workshop - 6 August 2026
Build confidence in committee roles and responsibilities while strengthening club governance and sustainability.
These workshops are designed to support local clubs, volunteers and committee members to build their skills, strengthen their organisations and help ensure the long-term success of community sport across the region.
Importantly, these workshops form part of the Shire of Carnarvon's broader Growing Our Clubs. Stronger Clubs. Stronger Communities. program, which aims to provide local sporting organisations with ongoing opportunities to enhance governance, build volunteer capacity, strengthen club operations and support sustainable growth across the community.
