Food Trail

CARNARVON, THE 'REAL' FOOD BOWL OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA.

The Carnarvon region in Western Australia is abundant with tropical fruits, succulent seafood and a vast array of temperate climate vegetables. The best time to access produce and seafood is during the winter, from around mid-April to mid-October, however, crowd favourite mangos and grapes come into season in December and are always a winner on the Christmas table.

A drive along North and South River roads, known as the 'Fruit Loop' reveals the heart of the horticultural industry. You will find seasonal fresh produce, the famous Sweeter Bananas and locally made delicacies. This is an opportunity to visit the REALities of plantation life and appreciate the innovative ways our growers adapt to succeed.
