Bushbay Campground

The New Beach/ Bush Bay campground is located 40km south of Carnarvon, is a mangrove paradise, and perfect for drone lovers who are seeking some impressive aerial shots of the Shark Bay World Heritage Area. New Beach/ Bush Bay is a pet-friendly campground, however, we recommend keeping your pets on a lead at all times due to 1080 baits in the region. Bush Bay is an extremely popular fishing beach, and a great spot to launch a tinnie. There are heaps of spots to get your boat close to the water at Bush Bay, though pick your location carefully, as the beaches are soft, launching at a high tide is much easier too. You can catch Whiting and Flat Heads just off the beach, though if you launch a tinnie, you have the opportunity to catch some larger fish and do some squidding.

*A friendly reminder from the Shire of Carnarvon, visitors wishing to stay at the New Beach/ Bush Bay campground are NOT required to pre-book. There is an online payment platform.*
