Gwoonwardu Mia - Gascoyne Aboriginal Heritage & Cultural Centre, in partnership with the Shire of Carnarvon, is hosting a one-day Artist Forum bringing together local creatives for a day of connection, conversation, and collaboration.


The forum will feature discussions around creative practice, professional development, and opportunities for the arts in our community.


This event is open to all local artists - emerging and established cross all art forms.

      • Launch of the first edition of the Gascoyne Regional Arts Plan, with presentations from:
        Tim Bray, CEO – Gascoyne Development Commission
        Stephanie Leca, Executive Manager Lifestyle & Community – Shire of Carnarvon
      • Guest Speaker: Sophie Mathewson (Regional Arts WA)
        Building brand identity for individual artists and regional arts organisations
      • Artist Panel – local artists sharing insights into their creative practice
      • Running a Small Arts Business 101
      • Panel Discussion with guest speakers
